One fact about yearbook pages will always remain true: everyone regrets theirs. No matter how you designed your page, you are bound to hate it in a decade. We all know we will. However, each year without fail, seniors all over the world design their pages with the same confidence. Why is it that we cannot put an end to this tradition? Well, maybe it is because they connect us to the past and feed our nostalgia. Below, we outline a few timeless designs that miraculously persist and have us wondering for the 2,37e2,9{37,-5394th time why white people exist.
Horse Girl
I'm sure this image was the first thing you pictured when you saw this article title. We know it's low hanging fruit, but horse girl yearbook pages needed a mention. Horses are just so integral to their lives that they must make an appearance at every major life event. When a horse girl graduates, she doesn’t walk on that stage alone — her horse receives her diploma for her in its mouth.
Classic Collage
Aside from looking like the brochure from a seafood restaurant in San Diego, this image doesn't have a lot going on. The jarring blue color scheme and the repetition of the same photo from different angles adds depth and clarity to the composition. Each background shows a different side of the subject's personality: a lover of nature, a lover of wood paneling, and a lover of garage doors. His complexity shines through. 10/10.
Art Art Art
Another complex character who perfectly presents their interests. Mike is a freespirit, a theater kid, a hoe for nice views. Mike was the editor of this yearbook, and you can tell because he layered his name so that the font would overlap the frame. This guy knows how to use photoshop.
The Office Quote/Parks and Rec
This is just simply not funny. It was barely funny when we watched the show in 9th grade.
One (1) Photo
Only main characters do this. No friends, no family, no pets, not even a WORD on the page other than their name. This person had an entire photoshoot in front of the closest Instagram wall with an entire makeup crew in golden hour lighting. They're the ones who send 20 photos that all look the same to their friends and ask which one they should use. We're only mad because we're jealous.
