We all know these are unprecedented times; it’s hard to find joy -- both in daily tasks and lifelong hobbies. Personally, the most fun I’ve had during these difficult months is with my quarantine pod of two other people. However, driving around Pasadena and the greater Los Angeles area gets to be boring at a certain point. Last week, I hit a breaking point.
I needed an adrenaline boost. Let me ask you: is there a better way to do that than throwing a piece of meat off a bridge? Do you, or have you ever had the urge to throw raw meat off a bridge? Well I have, and did.
A quick trip to Vons supplied me with all I needed: a cubic hunk of pork sealed in airtight plastic wrap. It did take me ten minutes using my keys to puncture a small hole in the plastic and rip the rest of it apart, but things went pretty smoothly from there.
I’ve never felt bliss or freedom like the moment that hunk of pork left my hand and sailed into the night sky.
I know this was a waste, I know it’s a risk to reveal this story to the general public, and I know it’s questionable to throw a piece of meat off a bridge, but if it makes you feel any better, doing so made me feel joy again. And there was no one below the bridge.
