Note: we take no responsibility for suspensions that may occur from following this advice.
One of the most difficult moments in class, without fail, is watching our poor teachers struggle to share their screens. The same nightmare repeats itself every class: the teacher tries to share their screen, they inevitably share their Teams screen with all our ghostly, exhausted faces on it, we all wake up because of the shock of self-perception, and then they reshare the right screen without the audio.
Sometimes, though, a different narrative takes place. These are the classes where students present theirown screens: a test of our strength, grit, and technological prowess. The process usually goes more smoothly, but there is always a moment after we’ve presented when we aren’t sure whether or not to unshare. In these moments, I find myself thinking of the havoc I could wreak. Which Keeping Up with the Kardashians clip should I play? Which image of Ed Sheeran should I pull up?
These questions haunt me, and I know they haunt you, too. So, as it is my duty to serve you, here are some priceless things to google in the moments before you must unshare your screen. Please enjoy.
