As Westridge lifted its outdoor mask mandates, we have been thinking a lot about the pros and cons of being bare-faced in the bright California sun for the first time in two years. Here is our collected data.

PROS

• Lower face exposure to the sun allows for corrected mask tan!
• Maskne levels experience exponential decay!
• Seeing faces outdoors for prolonged periods of time allows us to remember what certain classmates look like!

CONS

• No longer able to make faces at people without them noticing
• No longer can have full-fledged conversations with yourself without others asking to whom you are talking
• Maskless outdoor mornings expose us to the chill of Pasadena dew
