The commons bathroom just became a significant part of my life this year. When I first went into said bathroom, I got what anyone would expect from a school bathroom -- the smell of something scarily unidentifiable and students pointing to stalls saying "not that one". As my visits to the bathroom became more and more frequent (because it’s near a lot of my classes not because I’m weird, not that it's weird if you use the bathroom a lot, I am just disclosing why I personally was using said bathroom a lot, does that make sense? Just trying to cover my tracks), I started to notice something: an eerie presence. Now, I’m not one to believe in ghosts, but I knew something was afoot. Then, I realized that over time, my trips to the bathroom became more sad and depressing from the moment I stepped through the door. At first, I thought it was the smell, then the awful green-blue tile, or maybe it was the pools of water laying all over the sink counter that never seemed to evaporate. But then I realized what was haunting my dreams and destroying my well-being, the door. Every time you walk into that dreaded bathroom you get a not-so-lovely encounter with………. “The Squeak.” Now here’s why the “The Squeak” has terrified me so much, you never know what it’s going to do next. Who knows if it will get louder, or more high pitched. Maybe, Mr E's physics students will start coming to the Commons bathroom simply to supply their frequency unit with real-life research.
