April 26th, 2:38 PM.
This was the day my friend and I got chased by Marcus and Anthony down Madeline Dr.
Let me give you a rundown of what when down. We walked out of those green gates by Gary Baldwin’s parking spot like we did every other day for the past month or so. But I swear to God that I felt something off. Something in my stomach was just feeling weird. Maybe it was the burrito, I don’t know. After having crossed the street, my friend suddenly hears someone shouting our names, and so she keeps turning and looking around. I hear nothing at all, like nada, zero. So, I’m confused because I hear nothing, and I keep walking further down Madeline. But she stays at the top of the hill and just looks straight at Marcus who is frantically waving his arms at us on the corner of State St. and yelling at us to go back. So then, I walk back up the hill, see Marcus and Anthony, and we just look at each other like ‘We’re busted’. We walk back very slowly, and I’m completely afraid of what’s about to happen. As two underclassmen, who aren’t allowed to leave early (but still left early), we got into a little trouble. By ‘trouble’, I mean a stern talking to from Anthony, who is very very very scary as an ex-Clemson linebacker. In our defense, it was that ridiculous 30-minute end of the day period where everyone just sits around and does nothing. We thought that a better use our time would be to get Matcha milkshakes from Superba. And I still stand by that.
