The Highs and Lows of Freshman Year
by beezer

This year was exactly how I imagined it to be, so I cannot say I am disappointed, but I also can’t say that it was fun. I think joining Thursday Detention was about the most exciting thing I did all year, apart from playing one game as Varsity Soccer’s goalie (I cried at the end). I think this year is one to reflect on.

The Highs:
  • The ice from the Commons
  • Befriending approximately 2 upperclassmen
  • Not having to pick out an outfit every day because of uniforms
  • My biology grade
  • Junior Varsity golf
  • Writing center
  • Chicken katsu and dino nuggets
  • Wearing my UGGs in winter
  • Writing for Spyglass

The Lows:
  • Went bankrupt at the Commons. They stopped feeding me after a while.
  • History papers
  • Period cramps in the nurse’s office
  • My spanish accent
  • The amount of parties I’ve been to (2)
  • The one time I thought I was going to get suspended
  • When the track team all got boba without me (ouch)
  • Writing for Spyglass
