What I Would Put in My Library Collection

By: Kopi
When you walk into the library through the main hall, you’ll be able to notice that the new Head of School, Ms. Kassar has set out a collection of some of her favorite books. Well, I want to do the same. I think my taste in books is rather unique, artsy, fun, creative, and some even go as far as to describe it as sexy. Here are the books I would put in my collection that the whole school would see.

  1. Essentially Charli by Charli Damelio: Who doesn’t want to see the queen of TikTok immediately after they walk into the library? Her face just wants to make me hit the woah.
  2. The Communist Manifesto: If you’re a struggling US History student, all you have to do is bring Mr. Harrison a copy of this novella, and boom, all your problems are solved.
  3. The Twilight Series: I never even finished this series but I just know I would’ve loved it. All I’ve heard is that the protagonist gets pregnant with a vampire baby and almost dies when the fetus tries to suck out all of her blood. Peak writing, right there.
  4. The Westridge 2019 Yearbook: In the past few years, I haven’t really been loving the pictures of me in the yearbook. Thanks, Inlook :/ But, if you go back all the way to the ancient year of 2019, before the panini and the loss of our great British warrior, you’ll see I actually look good in my photo.
  5. Anything by Colleen Hoover: It doesn’t matter that you couldn’t read these to Lower Schoolers, or even Middle Schoolers, Colleen is a great Wattpad writer that somehow got her work published! It still brings me to tears as I read It Ends With Us.
  6. The Baby-Sitters Club en Español: Every time I’ve mentioned to one of my Spanish profesoras how bad I am at the language, they always say, “No, you’re not bad chica! Just read a spanish book!.” Actually, it’s more like, “No, no eres mala chica. Solo necesitas leer un libro en español.” (I had to use Google Translate for that ;)) But, whenever they tell me to read a Spanish book, that’s what I do. I read the Baby-Sitters Club in Spanish, and wow, let me tell you the difference. Nothing, absolutely nothing, I still suck at Spanish, but I always have a good time looking at the little drawings in side.

Have any suggestions for books I should add to this collection? Let me know at [email protected]!
