The Case for Kraft Mac 'n Cheese

by Jennifer Cutler
On the mac and cheese scale, how do you feel today? Kraft Mac and Cheese being the best. Velveeta being the worst. Homemade is somewhere in the middle.

Wait; hear me out: Kraft Mac and Cheese is clearly the supreme mac and cheese of the mac and cheese universe. I mean, who wouldn’t want powdered cheese that magically transforms into a neon-orange gooey bowl of delicious goodness? It’s like culinary alchemy, but with the sophistication of a 5-year-old’s art project! And don’t even get me started on the elegance of that iconic blue box. It’s practically a fashion statement in the world of pantry couture. Even the juniors who fawn over the #willacore aesthetic would have to agree!

Sure, some people might go for those fancy-schmancy mac and cheeses with real cheese and gourmet ingredients. You know, the ones made with love and grandma’s age-perfected secret ingredient (probably some fancy French cheese you can’t even pronounce!) But who needs that when you can have the taste of childhood and artificial colorings all in one glorious dish! Move over, caviar – we’ve got powdered cheese in the house!
